Catie is a bit defensive and somewhat dim but I'll take watching her and Brent than Carol and Brandy with their smug attitudes. I was a very happy camper when they were u-turned and very happy that it was Kent and Catie that did it to them. Carol and Brandy's rude comments were a bit over the line. Maybe the first day they realized who they were racing against but nope Carol and Brandy were relentless with their ridicule so they got what they deserved. Joe is a total tool. Both Joe, Carol and Brandy flunked out of the school of social skills. The brothers Jordan and Dan need a refresher class in social skills but for the most part they've been pretty cool. Catie is a bit slow on the uptake but I cut her a lot of slack because Carol and Brandy were relentless and that was just what we saw, I can imagine it being worse in real time. I'm so team cowboys but if Catie and Brent won I'd be happy just because Carol and Brandy would poop their pants.

Most of the time I try to cut racers some slack when they have a meltdown. I may have cringed while watching & listening to them but people make mistakes when they're exhausted, stressed, and confused. However just because I'm not going to declare someone persona non grata for having a fit doesn't mean it won't affect my feelings about them. So Dan, I get that he was freaking out. But a couple weeks ago I'd settled on him & Jordan as my top team. Only because I was even less enthusiastic about the other remaining teams. But that got torpedoed this episode. D&J were disappointing and it wasn't just the cab fit, it was them tagging along with Louie & Michael. That just seemed like taking the easy way out. Smart move, maybe, but hardly inspiring. I reckon my only option now is to root for the Travelocity gnome. Gotta say, there's been some pretty good tasks these last couple legs compared to some of those earlier in the season. Michael & Louis took their elimination in stride, good for them. I liked that Brent was getting something out of seeing another culture. Caite needs to worry less about whoever is still cackling over her answer. To most people, it's been forgotten or was never that big of a deal. And she'd have a better chance of proving how smart she was if she'd stop telling us that she is. Jet & Cord have been patient, polite, and easygoing. It's a shame that they participate in a "sport" that torments animals for audiences' amusement and entertainment. What a bummer of a final three. Go Mr. Gnome! And Phil.

Thanks for all who have love and concern for the people of Nashville! We lost one water treatment plant, and the other one was saved by the river cresting just over half a foot short. Much of downtown is without power because of flooding in the utility tunnels. Many tourist venues are not going to be back up to speed by tourist season less than a month away. Tourism is not our biggest industry - insurance is! - but it sure brings home a lot of paychecks!

Oh, Tntitanfan, I'm sorry, I hadn't really read upthread and so didn't see your posts. I'm so sorry the flooding has caused problems for you. Hope things are better soon for everyone.

TNT, so sorry to hear about the flooding. You sure have a good perspective! Calamity, I like your post. I do like the Cowboys but really hate thinking about how they make their living. I give Caite a pass somewhat, she is just a kid. I think she's doing pretty well actually considering her age (20 or 21) and having to live with many criticizing her mainly for one answer. Good point Lurk about the brothers waiting for L/M if they had been at it for 2 hrs. I just assumed it was awhile til L/M started their leg, but they didn't let us know really, so, D/J could have been waiting only a little bit of time for them.

Wow! That realitytvworld exit interview I just posted was the best interview I've ever seen them produce. Answered a whole slew of questions: On Monday, Louis and Michael talked to Reality TV World about their The Amazing Race experience -- including whether they really thought they had a chance of overcoming their prior last-place finish, if they were surprised how easy their penalty Speed Bump task was, whether they actually believed the "Dating Couple" team of Carol Rosenfeld and Brandy Snow were negative people, and if they share Brandy's belief that homophobia was behind Caite Upton's dislike of the lesbian women.

I am soooo gonna miss Jet's dimples when this show is over! I can't remember anyone mentioning this point, but, when one of them is talking or answering a question, the other one turns to look at him and LISTENS. They have such excellent manners!!

Very interesting re: the U-turn of Carol and Brandy: Reality TV World: Last week's episode had shown Jordan saying he felt using the U-Turn on Carol and Brandy instead of Jet and Cord was kind of a dumb move... Louis Stravato: You can call it whatever you want. We didn't call it a dumb move, we called it a strategic move. We called it getting rid of negative energy. Reality TV World: Well, what I was going to ask was did you sincerely believe Carol and Brandy were a stronger team than Jet and Cord? Louis Stravato: No. No, I'm not saying that. Michael Naylor: My personal opinion on that is I differ. I thought in the end-city -- now Carol build malls and does all these things, is very super world traveled, Brandy was very well traveled. Were they going to be a big threat here -- and I said this originally, I said this to everybody -- in the end-city they will be a threat. Whatever city we go to they're going to know it and they're going to be able to travel. They knew somebody in every city that we went. They knew who spoke French, who spoke Spanish. So in my personal opinion I definitely thought that they were more of a threat, to a degree, than Jet and Cord. Louis Stravato: They even knew different dialects of Spanish for Latin and South America.

Tnt said regarding the Cowboys: I can't remember anyone mentioning this point, but, when one of them is talking or answering a question, the other one turns to look at him and LISTENS. They have such excellent manners!! I had noticed that when one is talking, the other shuts up and lets them speak. But, your point is absolutely true. I knew they treat each other respectfully (I just love watching their 'confessional clips') but the "look at him and LISTENS" was something I hadn't realized. Thx for pointing that out!

I'm betting their mother had a wooden spoon and if one of them interrupted while someone else was speaking there was a price to be paid!

I caught up to this episode and I was sorry to see the cops get eliminated, but I kind of expected that since they had a speed bump. They were so close, though, I thought they almost had it a couple of times. Even though I also like Jordan and Daniel, I'd like to see Jet and Cord win, bc they have been so good this whole game, they even went from last to first in one leg. I will be crossing my fingers and toes for them during the whole final show

The cowboys were always my fave team!!! It does seem like Caite protests her own ignorance too much. Instead of moving on she merely reminds everyone (ad nauseum) of her beauty contest answer, like she wants to be remembered for it? Okaay, I got her point that she messed up, it has not made me fonder of her to be stuck on it.

Hey, I thought it was against the rules to give people stuff. Didn't one team get in trouble for that before? But I just watched my tape and the brothers gave that guy some money/or something for helping them. Shouldn't that have disqualified them? or required a penalty?

I'm not sure which "brothers gave that guy some money/or something for helping them" or instance you're talking about, was it the last show? But, I thought once in the past a couple of guys got into trouble paying off their taxi driver with watches, shoes and stuff because they ran out of money. Can't remember if it resulted in a penalty or how that worked out. But it was a 'No, No'.

I wouldn't think there's any problem with tipping your taxi driver. You hear people say it all the time, "There's a big tip in it for you if you get us there fast." I don't think that's against the rules.

Wasn't it that they couldn't sell their possessions to get money?

They can sell their possessions to get money, but can't use them to barter. They can sell their possessions to get money, but can't use them to barter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Race#Money

biscotti, it was the brothers (not the cowboys), I can never remember their names, and it was at the end of the last show.
