I posted this in the news area, but I think Idol fans would be interested in it.
Jury selection started today in Chicago for the trial for William Balfour, the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and nephew.
I have been waiting so long for this trial as I know many others have. I truly hope it's televised.

Adam Lambert was on Chelsea Lately tonight and he looks great. He is touring with Queen this summer in Europe and also Elton John. He also has a new BF.

Awesome! Glad to hear he's doing well. He was at a casino near our house summer before last, but the show was adults only. We knew our son would be heartbroken if we went without him, so we had to pass.

Fame is fleeting. I always cringe when one of them thinks they have it made because they got some exposure in the top ten or twelve when so few make it or are even remembered once the show ends.

P.S. I think most of the Idol contestants go the way of the ANTM contestants. They really aren't all that great and don't have what it takes to really make it in the world. Many of them are too young to really know what it takes to become a producing music artist. Many also think all it takes is a TV show to make them rich and famous. VERY few have the savvy or the technical chops to get 'er done. Adam was one of the few. A couple others include Pickler and Hudson and McFee. But out of the hundreds who've been in the top 20? What? A handful have actually "made it."

Never mind. Hubby suggested I Google them and I found out WWHL = Watch What Happens Live and ANTM = America's Next Top Model.

I was surprised that Adam was not funny on WWHL, the AI judges question was not that hard, others have answered it before without dancing.
The woman on with him was great though. I had never heard of her, but I live in my shell like a turtle, so that is always possible.

I missed the first 20 minutes or so, so didn't see them. Then they showed it again. Jessica sang the national anthem. I thought she did a good job. And Daughtry sang "Home" next. Also good.
