I think that's one of the reasons why Nigel's comments sometimes bugged me. He'd say "so and so made this mistake" and then he'd add "but most people would never have noticed that unless it was brought to their attention." And I'd be sitting here at home thinking "then why the HECK did you say that? Oh, I know, to prejudice us against that person!" <sigh>
The only mistake that bothered me was Katee's missed turn in the pas de deux. All of the judges were raving and raving and it was an obvious mistake. Then, finally, Nigel commented on the elephant in the room. Most often, the little mistakes don't bother me because they don't usually detract from the performance. And honestly, I don't expect perfection from them (unless, maybe, just maybe, it's a dance that's in their genre). The Katee thing bugged me cause everyone said it was just so perfect, and well, nope it wasn't.
And last night... dang, some of them really had a LOT of dancing to do! They had their group dances (top girls, top guys, top four, top 20) and then they had their encore performances. After the adrenaline buzz wore off, I bet more than a few of them just dropped from exhaustion!

Congrats to Josh.
I agree, Mary's dance wasn't all that and she should have been eliminated the first week. C'mon who's voting for her...heh.
I came here to ask how in the world she can be a judge...but then I remembered that Simon can't sing and he's a judge...so there...that explains evvyting.
Did anybody else notice that all the dance routines got a standing ovation from the judges...except, Mark and Courtney's Sonja routine..you know the one that Courtney wears the outfit that I wish I would come home one day and my wife...well, that's another post in a another forum.
Congrats to Josh...he was the best.
And Robert does the same moves over and over...kinda like Michael Jackson. And he makes this weird face while doing it.

Phillip vs. Robert ....
I really thought that Phillip was gonna get killed. Personally, I liked his MUCH better than Roberts... because it is more... mmm what's the word? Musical? Instead of just being super bendy and a freak of nature, he dances. I like that :-D

ROTF Darrell!! ITA! and the way they totally shit on Jessica made it all even worse.
I think they didnt have Jessica in the opening so they could have Will all by himself so Kat could say WILL!!! and not have to mention another name in the same breath and did ya notice the only elimination they showed was WILL!!
thrilled with Josh's win. Hated the confetti, I couldnt see his reaction as well due to clouds of it. LOved Twitch's reaction, love all of the final 4.

My eternal gripe with AI and SYTYCD is that they rush the ending. I wanted to see Twitch's montage and hear what he had to say. I wanted to see Josh's montage and give him more time to talk and to see his family join him on stage to celebrate. Come on Nigel, give us more time with the ending so we can prolong the feel good moments!

Actually that is a gripe I have with so many shows where they compete for weeks and then announce the big winners and -blip- show's over. I want to bask in the glory along with them.

Anyone else see Neil (from last year) in "American Mall"??
It was on Muchmusic and MTV last night, and it comes out on DVD today.
PS - I didn't think it was all that good, and it compared no where CLOSE to High School Musical, which it was obviously trying to be/compete with.
ETA - Apparently, Gev, Matt and Thayne are all in this too...I didn't see them, but then again, I didn't really watch it closely.

Does any one know why they continued to say that Joshua was an untrained dancer, even though they showed photo's of him in dance classes (from a young age), and he said that he had worked around the studio to pay for classes??
Sounds like he took lessons to me, and the photo's showed him in a ballet class (from the positions and clothing of the students behind him in the photo)... taking dance lessons, presumably for years since he was a young boy in the photos = training..
