I found this in an article about Season 8:
"But before we get to that: In a cruel twist of the numbers Tuesday night, it appeared that Rudy lost out on $100,000. After all, he lost 234 pounds, or 52.94% of his body weight, and while that wasn't enough to beat Danny, it would have been more than enough to beat Rebecca. (She won the $100,000 "at home" prize by losing 139 pounds, or 49.82% of her body weight.) But, this just in from the show: Rudy gets $50,000 for his second-place finish, and Amanda will get $25,000."

And remember how Heba lost the vote so she got $100,000 instead of the $250,000 that she would have won.
I don't really like that intrusion of "us" (though I kinda liked Heba's comeuppance)..
I did vote for Koli and wish he'd gotten the money and that Daris had gotten the other money, but I'm still happy for almost all of them for doing so well.. felt for the twins and I'm thinking Migdalia really needs some help before she will lose too much weight; her mother did SO much better! And Maria exceeded my expectations which is super so she AND Michael can help out the other family members.
Melissa was the attorney to the end, just had to "win" over Bob and make her points. I hope she can switch to good energy and maintain her loss.
Drea was disappointing but I'm real happy for her father.
Seems like Koli and Sunshine weren't owning up to a relationship, if any.

I was so happy with season I totally enjoyed it and Michael has inspired me to get walking again.
Thanks so much to Seamonkey for re-caps and the awesome charts. It helps me so much to know that I can come online and catch up on what I missed. No pressure Sea, just heartfelt gratitude.

I think Koli and Sunshine are still dating. I'm not 100% certain but pretty sure she was here in Sonoma County (where Rohnert Park (city of Koli and Sam) is) for the viewing party 2 wk ago. I'm surprised that nothing was mentioned on the finale.
I was surprised that Drea hadn't lost more. She was teaching spin classes I thought.

i dont koli and sunshine have a chance LOL Considering Koli's strong connection to his cousin, i can imagine koli freaked when he found out Sam wasnt even in town anymore. Sam had moved to LA with Steph.
I've always felt Koli was trying to live his life thru Sam. now that he's gone, Koli wanted everyone to think he too had a Special woman from the show --- how sad LOL
my ex had a friend like that. If my guy bought a truck, the friend ran out and bought the same type/model too. When he started going out with me, the friend found a blonde too. It was kinda creepy and stalkerish/
not saying Koli is, but now that the show is over, i hope koli is finding out who he is. Maybe by seeing himself on TV, he has learned that his cockiness was unattractive and now he can learn to change

5/29/10 Article confirming Michael and Ashley are just friends, they like to flirt and make people think they are a couple. They are (or plan to) stay in close touch. She is dating, he is not.

I didn't like Kai on her season and that prolly explains alot of why. I don't doubt for a minute she's being honest...
But I keep thinking too "one mans/womans junk is another mans/womans treasure".
It also reinforces my opinion that this show is no longer about inspiration and healthy lifestyle. It's just another reality show with a prize.
I'll still watch it though...:wonder what that says about me...
