I think this show is thread worthy, LOL. It is so hysterical I really want to keep up with what is going and who is going to graduate. I really can't wait to see what the families say at the end, LOL! Oh, it is on VH1, oops site says moving to Mondays at 9pm Here is the summary of the show. Nine spoiled princesses receive the shock of their pampered lives when their fed-up families cut them off from their finances and enroll them into an eight-week rehabilitation program designed to transform their pampered ways. The women must adapt to their new environment that has no cooks, valets or cleaners and very little closet space. With the guidance of professional life coach Laura Baron, the girls begin their long journey toward independence by downsizing their belongings, cooking for themselves, and learning to live like the rest of America.

LOL! Good job, Dipo! Yeah, it does deserve a thread of it's own. And that way I'll remember to try and find it on Monday night!

I only lasted through about one and a half episodes of this. One of the girls was on the Bachelor a couple seasons ago. I think it may have been the season Jason was on. It seems so staged to me.

Gia cant be for real! She has a child has never changed a diaper, etc. She is beyond spoiled, so that can be exploited. Her crying when her nemisis won the "special room" was over the top... Didnt catch the next episode where she walks out. I've seen the first show a couple of times, when they are shopping and get pulled into the show - hearing how much money they spend is jaw dropping for me!

I watched a couple of the shows a while back and just watched on line when they had to get jobs. Erica won that challenge. I remember her from The Bachelor and I'm pretty sure she was on another reality show. For having grown up with money these girls should be so much further ahead in their lives. When someone has no financial concerns it's easier to complete school. Lot's of kids take 5-6 years just to get a 4 year degree because they have to work to pay for school and can't afford a full load of classes. I'm sure these families have good contacts in the business world too which helps in networking. But all that only matters if someone is interested in having an independent adult life. I don't think these girls have a clue that they are mentally immature and show no signs of understanding the concept of independence.

I don't believe this show for a minute. If this is in fact a true show and these girls are for real.. then all I have to say is "America is screwed".

Oh! I thought I was the only one who watched this show! Yes, 'jaw dropping' is a good description of how much money they spend. So funny, they act like they're ALL THAT, yet none of them could survive on their own. Can't cook, never cleaned, or shopped for groceries. What they don't realize is that they are emotionally and psychologically deficient! Their families are not doing them any favors by pampering them like that. Putting them on a reality show to make them change their ways is stupid - it's just making them feel more like princesses, who are now on television!

Erica was on Prince Lorenzo's season (I think that is his name). How could anyone forget that classic line "I flew coach for you."

Why do I watch this train wreck? is there a 7 step support for it? Why does the lady in charge think Gia is doing so good - why is the loud one still there? she has anger issues!

The loud one is Jessica? I think she got a wakeup call when Laura kicked Chrissie out. Who totally needed to go. Talk about negativity. And I really thought she wasn't all that pretty (she was much prettier without all that crap on her face). I think Gia finally realized what the program was about, when she was doing the no makeup thing. And that's why she got the VIP title.

Thank goodness Chrissie is gone that girl had no clue what was going on and I don't know who told her she was pretty and needed to spend 2.5 hours on make-up but they did her a disservice. She isn't that attractive and becomes less so with her poor attitude. Glad it was recognized, wonder if she will try to come back next season or if they will show us what her family thinks about it. I don't know why any of these girls think they are pretty, few of them have any actual beauty IMO, and most of them looked better without makeup. Plus I wish they would just cut their hair, I don't get why they want extensions when it just makes their hair look stringy! Yeah, I got why Gia finally got VIP, none of these girls really make BIG progress just little baby steps and Gia did finally wake up at the mirror session.

Wow, I just happened to catch a couple of episodes of this on last night. Where on earth does VH1 dig up such worthless people? I hate to be so mean, but some of these girls seem to have absolutley no redeeming qualities. I cringed when Gia said that she had a little girl. The thought of her as a role model to a child makes me shudder and fear for our future.

<she was much prettier without all that crap on her face> Most of the women were prettier without all the (excessive) makeup they usually wear.

I would love to believe these girls are the exception and not the rule, but I fear we have many just like them, in varying degrees. Kids today have no concept of the value of money or the hard work needed to earn it. These girls seem to live in areas where there is big money, or the glamour industry and see it on the streets, on TV, all around them. This tends to distort reality. They definitely have no concept of reality, which is evident in every aspect of their lives.

Why does the host seemed to be so soft towards the really loud girl and Gia? both of them and the blond should be sent out -- but then all the drama would be gone - I think the rest would have been ok and really learned a lot more -- in the end - most will not change....

Heh, If you behave yourself, you are insulted and not rewarded, much like in real life. I think this woman is training these girls to be harpies. the constant understanding of Jesse, who has serious bullying tendencies and Gia, who is not really participating. There is no punishment for Gia for misusing the VIP? for not earning the grocery money, but spending it all on herself? All they learn here is to be a harpy. And yet I wartch. i think it is because most of the people know this is only pretend. It would be better if they had a weekly segment of the family watching and commenting on the women and if they replace the ineffective woman running things.

Some kind of marathon today, I guess. I had it on and watched in between laundry and other cleaning. While I was doing those mundane things, I thought to myself, these can't be real people, they've got to be actresses, because no one can be that clueless about life. Can they? If so, what does that say about our future? Scary. My 11-year old is learning how to do laundry-she doesn't like it, but I tell her my job as her parent is to make sure she can survive in the real world. Their parents are to blame, if these are "real" people. Again, very scary.

I missed the finale last night, did anyone catch it? I know it will repeat a few times so I am not worried about seeing it just wondered how it went. I can't wait to see what the families think, LOL.

OH, the updates were at the credits on the show. You have to keep watching. I thought that Pam moved into a smaller place that her parents did not have to pay for, that is a beginning, but she already had a job. And Jessica didn't get a job but was "looking into" volunteering at a cancer group and switched from tanning beds to spray tans - this might be connected somehow. Other fake things on the show - Gia claimed the show took 8 weeks. I think it probably took 3, VH1 is cheap, they don't spend that much on shows, it just played out over 8 weeks. They lived on a budget. They were all rich, but looked like low rent Paris imitations The no homeless in NJ where what's her name comes from: I can see that. there are no homeless in our town either, there are just not any place for them to hang out, fast food closes at 11 and the area is all fairly well off single family homes.
