Dog is right, Wellington did survive but has since killed himself. Apparently hanging out with in Pittsburgh was murder!

My thought’s on the finale, which I just watched last night, prior to reading all of your witty comments...

I found the finale acceptable. I haven’t been impressed with the writing all season and I felt it was consistent with the prior eps. Congrats to all who guessed Henry long ago. It did seem apparent he changed right around the JD demise episode. Many of us thought it was too obvious, but in looking back, it helps fit in with their ending. I’m not sure I understand how he faked his and Abby’s and Jimmy’s death in the fire. Did he have 3 extra bodies hanging around??

Was so glad Jimmy didn’t die. I had hopes after we didn’t see him get shot. I do think law enforcement would have searched the island and found them anyhow. It wasn’t like they were in a shack in the woods – they were in a huge house on the edge of the island. Seemed very unbelievable that no one would find them.

Pretty creepy that Henry was so in love with his half sister. Wish we would have seen him be a bit too inappropriate with her in earlier eps to clue us into him really being in love with her.

It was fun watching with you all. I’m sad I missed the finale night with you – am going to read it now and pretend I was there. LOL.

Henry apparently faked some blood evidence, but I don't know how he got that either. It was a bit unclear at the time, but something I've read since said that's why the police thought Jimmy and Abby were dead.

Sorry you had to wait two weeks to see it, hope you enjoyed your vacation though (it was you on vacation wasn't it?!)!

Thanks Kitt. The blood evidence seems pretty weak to me. If it was in the church are we supposed to believe the blood would survive the fire but bones wouldn't? Doesn't it take a pretty good, hot fire to destroy bones down to nothing, even in cremation there's ashes and bone fragments left. Or maybe we are to blame some small island keystone type csi cops who don't know how to do their job? LOL.

And adding my Thanks to Jimmer for managing the banner!

Yes, I enjoyed my vacation!

Maybe the blood was on the outside, which led the CSI types to think that they must have been killed inside. But it didn't convince me either, I guess some things are hard to convincingly write into the plot!

I'll just chalk it up to some Mayberry RFD CSI work. LOL. There couldn't have been enough blood to conclude someone was dead as they were both still alive and wouldn't have lost that much blood. The fire wouldn't have been enough to evaporate all the bones. It feels like we missed about 10 minutes of show. They could have done a flash back showing us how Henry put the bodies in the church and subdued Jimmy and got them both out to that house. Henry did kill a lot of people on the mainland so maybe he had a few bodies laying around.

I hope the actor who played Jimmy gets more work from this. He sure was a cutie!

I agree Brenda, a flashback would have been helpful.

Something I have been wondering about is the deer that appeared in Henry's bathtub. Did we ever find out who put it there? Was it Wakefield? Henry was alone when he found it and acted extremely distraught. If it was Wakefield, why would he put it into Henry's bathtub and not someone elses?

JD put the deer head in the tub and put "psycho" on Shane's truck window after they were out shooting deer.

What happened to Henry's parents? Is there any chance he killed them? I had forgotten about the deer head. Did we see JD do that or could Henry have done some things to make JD seem crazy. Seems that a lot of back story could have been told here in flashback.

The producer confirmed it was JD. Apparently he admitted it to Abby, but I missed that too!

I might not be remembering this bit correctly, but I think he also said that Henry's parents died in an accident (i.e. not caused by Henry). They were going to write into the story that Henry killed one of them but didn't in the end.

They could really have done with one more episode to flesh things out more clearly.

In one of the earlier episodes, J.D. is washing his hands in his bathroom sink and they were covered with blood. I guess it could have been from the deer head. No idea when he admitted it to Abby, though.

Hello All,
I don't know how many of you still go on this board, but I just wanted my very first post to be on the board that started my addiction to Tvclubhouse, you all were so amazing during this series and reading your posts was fun during the time that I speculated the killer, and theorized. Thank you for your discussion, as none of my friends got into this show quite like I did

Hi Lexie, glad you enjoyed the fun! We need another show like this!

Make sure you check out the other TV show threads when the season starts in September, some of them are very active too.

Welcome to posting Lexiecon! We sure had a lot of fun with this show.

As Kitt suggested, be sure to check out the rest of the board if you haven't already. A good place to start is our main topic page which is located here.

You can click down into the various sub-headings to find all kinds of different conversations going on about a wide range of subjects.

Looking forward to seeing you around the board! :-)

Ahh thank you for the warm welcome you are all so sweet, to answer your question, It took me a couple of tries before tvch accepted my application, but I would have loved to make fun of you all ( I mean theorize :P) It actually was big brother that made me decide to apply again, and YAY I was accepted.

we definitely need another show like this, it was a lot of fun being right, but still not being sure if I was right, my mind seemed to be thinking of new and exciting possibilities everyday, I really hope they have another murder mystery come this fall.
I look forward to seeing you all around too, you can look for me in Big Brother, and in the fall I'll definitely be frequenting the tv shows

thanks again

I know I'm a little demented, but I thought of Harper's Island when I saw this from the Seattle Times...

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2009657271_webmurdersuicide13m.html

Murder-suicide suspected; 2 dead on boat in San Juans

A Bellevue man and a woman from Sammamish have both died in a suspected murder-suicide.

Coast Guard officers Wednesday afternoon boarded the man's 36-foot powerboat, which had been tracked from Friday Harbor into President Channel off Orcas Island.

...

Authorities speculate Rha died "much earlier" than when her body was found, Cumming said.

some cool news from harpers globe ppl, I love that he calls us Harpies!! LOL

Mush, that story does remind me of Harpers! very chilling!

Fellow Harpies, Sending you a quick email to update you on Harper’s Globe and tell you about an exciting new project we’re working on with CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker: Level26.com. First, HarpersGlobe.com will continue to live through the release of the DVD and indefinitely thereafter to support the foreign releases of Harper’s Island. There will not be any new content on the site, but it will still be a place to watch Harper’s Globe, full episodes of Harper’s Island, and interact with the community. We are in the process of talking to CBS about how we can continue the “Harper’s” brand in some capacity online, but we’re not sure what that will mean or if it will happen. We’ll keep you posted. Needless to say, we are THRILLED by the size and passion of this community and we’d love to continue producing great stories for you to enjoy if we can. In the meantime, we’d like to recommend that all of you check out Level 26: Dark Origins, a “Digi-Novel” from Anthony E. Zuiker, thecreator of the CSI franchise. Level 26 is a book, movie, and community all rolled into one multi-platform experience. It explores the world of Steve Dark, the top criminal investigator inthe country, and his quest to bring down Sqweegel, the world’s most notorious killer, a demented contortionist who wears a “forensic-proof” latex body suit. The hardcover book features cover art and illustrations by Marc Ecko, and as you read the text there are calls-to-action directing you to the website to unlock cinematic video “cyber-bridges” that fully immerse you in the world of Level 26. You can pre-order the book and join the community right now on Level26.com. We are having a special pre-order promotion for the book that I would love for you all to participate in. Thank you for all your support! -Miles Miles BeckettCEO, EQAL

Anyone still interested in Harper's Island?

They're showing in the UK and there were two specials aired, the first before the finale (Harper's Island Unsolved) and the second at the end (Harper's Island Solved). Here's a Youtube link to the first of the Unsolved show, and the same user has all the others too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym8mNtlKzEk&feature=related

I'm only about half way through the first show but I'm enjoying it. Lots of cast interviews and a few secrets revealed.

The BBC is usually quick to get youtube to take down their shows (although maybe this wasn't popular enough for them to bother) so I'd watch it soon if you're interested.
