New Sci-Fi(or SyFy now) series begins tonight. Two Secret Service agents are assigned to Warehouse 13, a massive, top-secret, storage facility in South Dakota. This warehouse stores every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object, and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. Government. The caretaker, Artie, charges his new recruits with running down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new artifacts to cache in the Warehouse, as well as help to control the Warehouse and it's contents. Eddie McClintock stars as Pete Lattimer; Joanne Kelly as Myka Bering; Saul Rubinek as Artie Nielsen the Caretaker. Premieres tonight at 8:00 p.m. central time and if you're taping, TiVo-ing, or DVR-ing, it runs 2 hrs., 4 minutes. I'm looking forward to this, and have been for a while. It's a premise that will hook my imagination every time. Hope some of you other sci-fi fans out there give this a watch.

Shoot..is it repeating at 10 or 11, Lycan? Not sure I'll be home by 8 (though do have tivo set up to record it.) I've been looking forward to seeing this.

It's on at 9-11pm and then straight away repeated at 11pm-1am Eastern. And if you're not asleep by then they're showing the Duane Barry episode of the X-Files right afterwards! West Coast will either see it starting at 6pm or 9pm depending on their provider. Thanks for the extra 4 minutes reminder!

It was a very good premiere. Didn't blow me away, but that just means it has room to grow and get better. The cast is very appealing, and they seem to have pretty good chemistry already. And from the previews, there would appear to be a good number of recognizable guest stars set to make appearances. I'm hooked, and I hope a lot of other people get hooked as well.

I wanted to like it better than I did, but it didn't really hold my interest. I would like to see SyFy continue to produce high quality shows; I think the success of BG made them realize that there was an audience. This show has potential but I don't love the female lead. She's brittle without being endearing to take the edge off. The season permiere of Eureka looks fun. I'm thinking of starting SyFy thread

It was worth a second view. However, this "SyFy" crap has got to go! Seriously! What's next? Are they going to program wrestling, too?

I couldn't really get into it either, although I will definitely watch again - pilots aren't always a good representation of how a show will be.

Yeah they seem to have started this ECW stuff, wrestling is on the agenda. I don't really get that decison but I guess someone wants to watch it. Just like someone must be watching "Ghost Hunters International."

I liked the show -- the SS guy has so many of Booth's traits and mannerism's (BONES). Not liking the girl though -- too snobby/elitist.. but maybe that is what makes a good partnership. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out....

I heard the reson for the SyFy change. Seems that they can't own the name SciFi as a brand because it is too generic a term. They made the change to give them control over their name brand. Really can't blame them for that. I think the show has great potential I also think the female lead's character was purposely made to be the unbending character to play up the change as it happens. Sort of like Scully was in the beginning of the X Files, totally unbeliving and by the book. I always give a new series a break at the beginning because it is here that they have to give the backstory of the characters and the theme of the show. Doesn't leave a lot of time for a really good storyline. The prime example is Star Trek. Anyone remember the first show? The Salt Monster episode. One of the worst shows in the entire series.

SyFy re-ran the pilot this afternoon and I just happened upon it. I usually enjoy shows like this and do hope after a couple of episodes that I am able to "get into" these characters. I'm not saying it was bad. I understand how pilots can be, so I'm willing to stick in there and see if the show and characters will grow on me. Allie, I also thought of the Scully comparison. There is potential with this show, but time will tell.

Still not grabbing me. Out of loyalty I don't want to delete the season pass, but to be honest I could take it or leave it.

This one did not seem to have the excitement and quirkiness of the pilot == plus that darn ecw ran over by like 6 mintues and I lost the last few minutes of the show....

Well, I'm enjoying it. The two leads really do have nice chemistry. I usually like Rubinek in his roles, but he hasn't really grown on me yet in this one. I like the girl who sees auras, though.

I liked the second episode better than the first. I really do want to like this. I think Sci-Fi opens your mind to things you have not thought of. Everyone knows music can move us to emotions, this just makes us think about that. Also, I liked the tie in with daughter doing for Dad and the Dad problem on our end. (I did think they moved into Warehouse 13 mode a little soon in not reporting to FBI. They were top agents used to following rules)

I wanted to like it, think it is a fun premise for a show but so far the execution has been a miss.

I love this show! They provide old style items used within the warehouse and explain the history of the person and the ideas behind it. Great physics lessons for folks. There is excellent efforts to weave items with people and the way human can be. I enjoy the chemistry of the stars of the show.

Turns out this show is the highest rated show in SyFy history. That means better ratings than the Stargate franchise. Wouldn't have guessed that. Anyway, the new season starts 7/6/2010. The youngster, Claudia, looks to be a regular now, and even though Artie seemed to die last season, it looks like he'll be back in some form according to TV Guide. And in a cool crossover, Fargo from Eureka, and as I'm understanding it, it's the character Douglas Fargo, will install a Global Dynamics computer system in the Warehouse.

Well, the 2nd season premiere has come and gone, and I thought it was a good start. It looks we'll get another British big bad for this season. McPherson(Roger Rees) has run his course, so they got younger and female at the villain position, bringing in Jaime Murray, aka Lila from Dexter, to play a famous historical figure with a twist that has been "de-bronzed" and escaped from the warehouse. Looking forward to the season.

There is going to be a Eureka and Warehouse 13 crossover this week. I think both shows will be involved.
