Well, since Troy didn't produce an idol at TC, they should be looking hard for one now. But are they sure there is another idol that was hidden.

It would be interesting if Christina found it. Then what will they do?

Sure or not, they should be looking for a HII. Only Chelsea knows that Kim has one. All of them should be looking because there are probably two out there and even though Kim and Chelsea know Kim has one, they both should be looking for the other one too. Either no one could be bothered, or they all think they are safe enough (and how could anyone really think that?!!...most of these people really frustrate me)...or the producers just aren't showing us any talk about the HII or search for it. And...I don't think that is the case because they just aren't really showing us too much and I think that it because there isn't a lot to show us. This is a boring season. I still love the show though. Even though I cannot stand him, I'm sorry to see Troy go because he brought more interesting viewing. I liked him at first, I thought he had a certain charm, but he acted more arrogant as time went on. And then he acted like such a big baby during the IC once he was out. Very annoying to me. But he was playing strategically, and I always like to see that even when I don't like the player. It seemed to me that Jeff, during TC (and maybe even during one or both of the challenges), was trying to educate Christina about the game somewhat. I think she is so totally clueless. I can't believe she didn't put up a fight once Sabrina told her the vote was going to be split between her and Troy! I would have raised heck very loudly about that! She should have fought for her life and made them split it between Troy and Tarzan! I like Kim. I'm glad at least one of these women is playing the game and not just going along. Although, I think Chelsea is playing a great game for herself too. There is something to be said for playing the as-long-as-it-isn't-me-going-home-game as Sandra did in previous seasons...but most of these women and Tarzan are doing that but it isn't in their best interests as it was with Sandra. And that frustrates me. Oh, back to the HII, if Christina found it...she would probably share it with the group and they would convince her to give it to one of them.

Didn't Chelsea almost blow it about three shows ago? By spilling some beans and then Kim acted fast and did great damage control? For that alone Chelsea shouldn't win.

That was funny in the interview, that Troyzan was actually chasing the pig to make sure NOBODY was going to catch it.

That's what I want to know, too. I had to turn the TV off when all the pig-chasing started. Can't stand to watch animals being pursued like that. Didn't even finish watching the show, but did read that Troyzan was voted out.

That had to be some farmer's pig. It was not wild. Somebody probably stepped in and made them stop chasing it. It was just resting by the road later on.

Happymom, your observation if Christina found the HII she would share and then give it to one of them made me laugh because she probably would do just that. She is sweet but it is like she has never watched the show before. Yes, Julieboo, Chelsea, did tell one of the men something she was not suppose to. Was it that they were going to be voted off? I was surprised because until then I thought she was pretty smart. Maybe there was a self-serving reason she did it. This season has dragged along so much I almost forgot that Colton was in this season.

In Dalton Ross' recap, bottom Pg 3, (see external blogs thread): http://tvrecaps.ew.com/recap/survivor-one-world-episode-11-troyzan/3/ "Now I know what you conspiracy theorists are thinking: The producers totally planted that pig. But one thing I will tell you is that pigs are everywhere on that island. In fact, I came about a quarter of an inch away from ramming right into one when it darted out of a bush and onto the road while I was driving to go watch a challenge during the South Pacific season. So it is completely conceivable that this little piggy legitimately went to market (only the market happened to be the Tikiano camp)." <snipped> Also, I think it was Kim that said she didn't want to eat the pig, just wanted to turn it into a pet. Really, IMO if one is away from loved ones and bored, who wouldn't want a pet? Even if it was a pig.

I don't think any of them had any intention of eating that pig, it was simply a diversion. I also don't think any of them would have had a clue what to do with the pig if they had caught it.

We knew they would not catch/kill that pig - there was no disclaimer before the episode.

Did they put a disclaimer in front of episode when they killed the chicken?

In the animal world you get different levels of respect from humans depending on the type of animal that you are.

Didn't they kill a pig on another season, and had some kind of warning? I think it was a much smaller pig.

Yep, Sue from one of the first (or THE first) season killed either a pig or boar. With a stick, iirc.

I hate to say this about someone, but I don't think Christina is smart enough to find the idol. I still am upset though, over the way Colton and Alicia treated her. I don't like any of the men this season except Jonas. That Matt who left early on is my least favorite after Colton. Funny how with all these attractive young people, there were no showmances this time around. Who would want one with these wimpy men who were so easily fooled?

There was no pig killing on Season 1. The only meat they ate on that one was rat. However, Season 2 (Australia) did have the pig killing, according to THIS article.

Yup, it was the Australia season, and it was Mike (who later burned his hands) who not only killed it but helped with the cutting up of the pig, etc.

I had to look away during the jugular vein puncturing of a cow and subsequent drinking of its blood in the African season.

I'm sorry, I am thinking if I was on that island and had been starved for a month I would consider pork chops as an option. My only concern would be whether I would be able to cook it well enough over a fire to make sure there weren't any parasites in the meat. Yes, it was a cute little pig, but it was food (but then again I'm from a family who has raised cows for food for generations so I might think about these things differently...my only insistence was that my grandparents NOT name the calf that was going to go to the butcher for our family meal). Of course that doesn't mean that I want to watch it on my television.
