I have another sweet movie recommendation, if you haven't already seen it.

Last night I watched The Confirmation w/ Clive Owen and that same cute little boy from St Vincent. It's a very similar theme to St Vincent, but this one is less comedic, and maybe a little sadder. To me these characters were a little less over-the-top, which made it feel more like real life.

If you didn't see American Crime on network TV, the first two seasons are now on Netflix. VERY GOOD. Same cast both seasons, but stories not related at all. It's been renewed for 3rd season on ABC.

I just watched Rebellion. It is the story of 3 women and how the Easter Day Rebellion in Ireland effected their lives. Some very good acting and a very humanistic angle.

Peaky Blinders is excellent! Feel the same way about Vikings which is a History Channel original. You can find it on Amazon. Just finished Bloodline and like everyone else, can't wait for the next season!

I just started Stranger Things too Pamy. I'm on Ep 5. I'm going to finish it tonight. I'm enjoying it too, although I'm not usually a sci-fi fan.

I watched Stranger Things last month and really enjoyed! Really happy to hear there is a Season 2 coming out next year.

Hubby and I just started Stranger Things over the weekend, and we are hooked! It's set in the 80s, Pamy (1983). The only thing I don't like about these shows on Netflix, Amazon, etc, is that you binge watch the whole series, and then have to wait a year or so for the next installment. I hate the wait!!!

Babyjax, ahhhh 80s. I thought the mom's hairstyle was Farrah's 70s style

The thing i hate is that you really cant talk about ea ep because you never know how far into the show someone is.

What if you use the spoiler block to talk specifics?

Some of us watched it the weekend it came out, July 16, so there's a little discussion then, but nothing specific.

If you like, we could create an area for it and then you could talk about it episode by episode with separate threads for each episode? :-)

Starting a separate thread for a particular show might work. People should know that any particular show thread might have spoilers if they're behind in their binging.

Here in the general Netflix recommendations thread, people come to get recommendations but spoilers show up here for those who haven't watched any of the particular show yet.

I'd been interested in shows that I saw recommended here but then I read another post or two and saw complaints about it's finale not being resolved to their satisfaction. That pretty much ruins my enthusiasm for it. Had those posts been in a separate thread for that show, I would never have seen them until after I watched it.

I finished the whole series, didnt realize it was only 8 eps. Loved it!! soooo glad there is a season 2!
Jimmer, I dont know if there is enough of us to have each ep thread maybe just one thread and ppl can go to it if they have watched it all? just thinking out loud LOL

Plus there is something else I have always wanted to being up. There is more than just Netflix that has online only original series'. There's also Crackle, Amazon, Hulu, etc. We seem to discuss them all here in the Netflix thread.

Maybe it should be "Online Only Series" or something similar.

Just thinking aloud as well :-)

A hysterical moment just happened! Dylan and his GF were upstairs watching Stranger things. My hubby decides to test out the new christmas light display (the digital lights that shine on the house and it makes it look like you have lights all over the place) on the front of the house where Dylan's bedroom window.

It's dark in Dylan's room they are watching the show and all of sudden his room lights up with Christmas lights!!! LMAO! they looked at each other and slowly said uh whats going on?! LMAO!!!!

2 more episodes of "Stranger Things" left to watch. The one take away so far...........several unattended kids who stay out late.
Otherwise I am enjoying this show.

Since giving up cable, I've been using Netflix to binge watch various series from the BBC. My latest addiction is Last Tango in Halifax. I'm also watching Rosemary and Thyme. It doesn't hold my attention quite as much but oh what beautiful spots they go to!

Pamy, that was hilarious about the Christmas lights and your son watching Stranger Things with his GF!
